Hi, I’m Jiayuan Liang, an intern journalist at Manningham Life. I come from Jilin City, Jilin Province, China. Currently, I’m studying for a Master’s degree in International Journalism at the University of Melbourne. I’m also a food content creator, using gentle, detailed writing to share articles about traditional cuisines and cooking skills. The diverse culture in Melbourne has inspired me a lot, and lets me explore more community stories. I’m especially interested in ordinary people and shops that don’t get much attention. I believe these ordinary moments in daily life are the most worth recording. I want to discover stories about local delicacies and Chinese-speaking business owners. I’m also excited to work with the team and bring a series of warm, lively community-centred reports to residents.

Hello everyone! I'm Yiping Chang, an intern reporter at Manningham Life. I'm from Shandong, China, and I'm currently studying for a Master of International Journalism at the University of Melbourne. Before coming to Australia, I completed internships at television stations in China, where I was involved in news reporting, writing and video production. These experiences strengthened my passion for journalism and made me believe that everyone's story deserves to be heard and shared. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, learning about their experiences, and telling authentic stories through journalism. During my internship at Manningham Life, I look forward to connecting with the local community, covering stories that matter, and producing objective, engaging and meaningful journalism. I'm also excited to continue developing my reporting, writing and multimedia storytelling skills while working alongside the team.

Hello, my name is Yue Luo, and I am an intern reporter at Manningham Life. I am from Guangzhou, China, and I am currently studying a Master of International Journalism at the University of Melbourne. I have previously worked in newsrooms and communications roles in China, where I gained experience in interviewing, news writing, social media content and event reporting. These experiences have made me enjoy listening to people’s stories and turning complex information into clear and engaging journalism. Mandarin and Cantonese are both my native languages, and I hope to help Chinese-speaking residents in Manningham access local news and community information more easily. I am very pleased to join Manningham Life and look forward to sharing more meaningful local stories.
