Four teenagers have been charged following a dramatic police pursuit across Melbourne yesterday that left a woman injured.
Police first spotted a white BMW being driven erratically on the Eastern Freeway in Doncaster at around 12:30pm on 29 September. Officers followed the vehicle into the CBD, where it allegedly struck a woman in her 40s on Exhibition Street. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The BMW, which police believe was stolen from the Boroondara area, was later abandoned on Bourke Street. The four occupants fled on foot but were arrested shortly afterwards near Emporium Melbourne shopping centre.
Police confirmed all four teenage males were charged overnight in relation to the incident.
