On June 6, Doncaster Police were on patrol at Westfield Doncaster, aiming to target the illegal carrying of weapons.
Their aim? To support a safe and family-friendly atmosphere.
The operation was carried out by Doncaster Police, Transit Police and Protective Services Officers.
A total of 136 wand searches were conducted; however, no weapon offences were detected.
During the operation, police identified a man in possession of an e-scooter that had reportedly been stolen from outside Doncaster Library on June 5. The e-scooter was taken hold of and subsequently returned to its rightful owner.
