In the early hours of August 16, a man allegedly entered a home in Park Orchards, and stole car keys and a vehicle. He then reportedly picked up three friends and refuelled without paying.
At around 10am the same day, Doncaster police located the stolen car in a shopping centre car park in Doncaster and arrested four people as they returned to the vehicle.
A 19-year-old Ringwood man has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, theft of petrol, and driving while disqualified.
An 18-year-old Lilydale man has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle. Both have been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on October 3.
Two 16-year-old girls are expected to be charged on summons with motor vehicle theft.
