Officers from the Whitehorse Tasking Team have been working diligently to identify and locate a prolific offender responsible for stealing tools from tradie vehicles.
In the early hours of Friday morning, with assistance from detectives from the Whitehorse Criminal Investigation Unit, police executed a search warrant at a Doncaster address.
Although the person of interest was not present, officers discovered and seized two rooms filled with stolen tools, with an estimated value of $100,000.
Several items have already been linked to known victims, and police will continue cataloguing the property to identify and return items to their rightful owners.
