According to Manningham Eyewatch, a motorbike was stolen from Upwey on December 9 2024.
On January 18 2025, Manningham Detectives discovered the motorbike parked across the road from Doncaster Police Station and noticed the offender had repainted the bike, removed the VIN and added a false plate.
Detectives arrested a 37-year-old man from Donvale.
The man was charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear before the Heidelberg Magistrates' Court.
Since the incident the motorbike has been returned to the owner.
